5 stars on service, 3.5 stars on food. I was very excited when I heard about the new Roman-style Italian restaurant on Miracle Mile. Roma Eat opened up where The Dome used to be. As of August 4th, they had only been open for 11 days. We took a quick glimpse at the menu outside and once I saw "cacio e pepe" on there, I knew I had to give it a try. Being one of my favorite dishes while in Rome, it was going to have a tough job to live up to it's name. For some odd reason, you don't find this dish much around these parts. If someone knows why, PLEASE enlighten me! We were promptly seated and greeted with 2 glasses of red or white wine (our choice), on the house. The wine was a Montepulciano and excellent. We began with the Margherita Pizza. Although not too flavorful, it was similar to the pizza found in Rome - thin, crispy dough on the edges and not overloaded with sauce or cheese. I went with the Cacio e Pepe and my husband had the Fettina Panata alla Romana (fried steak). The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. We had the opportunity to meet the owner which was very nice. Being they had just opened and it was a rainy Monday night, the restaurant was not crowded. This allowed for a more personal experience in which we were treated to dessert and Limoncello, on the house. Happy to see a family-owned restaurant where they really take care of their clients. Perhaps the kitchen was bombarded over the weekend and under-stocked as a result, but the one thing I would have liked different was the side that came with the fried steak. The steak was wonderful, crispy, hot, and not chewy. However, it was served with plain lettuce. No dressing, no tomatoes, nada. I understand traditional Roman and Italian food is not served with a side of pasta as the second course, but some veggies or potatoes would have been nice. If it is meant to be served with a salad, play it up a little. My cacio e pepe was good and peppery, just how I like it. However, the consistency of it was not the same, and perhaps that is an unfair comparison. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu and Chantilly - both were wonderful and light. That said, we will come back here after they settle in. I'd really like to try some of their other dishes and the staff is extremely welcoming.

Finally a really good and real Italian place. Roma eat is the best I had in a long time, I happen to work next door and had met the chef at my store( fully blooded Italiano) he is amazing. The glass of Cavernet ( French ) I had was excellent. We received a $30 appetizer for two for free because they have specials on Mon-Tue-Wed Must go and try it. I love the 3 dished we had.! Thanks to the chef and crew.

Service was good , our waiter was Yohan. The reason for the low review is that one of our dishes (The Carbonara) had an awful taste. Still this does not justify my review because they could have solved the issue , and I would have been happy. What bothered me is that the waiter simply told me that it is "the egg flavor or maybe the bacon" then brought us the bill with not even a courtesy discount. The tortellini was great but I doubt I'll return soon.

Awful. Just awful. Bread was overcooked. Ordered soup they ran out of and server came with bowls of another soup without asking us if we wanted it. Ordered Caesar salad that was more a house salad than anything else, with an awful dressing. Server didn't question the fact that I only had a couple bites. Looking forward to seeing what moves into that space next.

For three generations the Sargenti family has been in the restaurant, bakery and catering business in Rome, Italy. Needless to say, they know what they are doing when it comes to crafting delicious Italian food. Besides having an awesome selection of authentic Italian food you'd be happy to know that basically the entire staff, including the waiters, bartender and chef, are Italian! So you can rest assured that the food you are getting is not only organic, because all products are brought straight from Italy, but you will be getting the real deal! There are definitely a few things I would suggest you order when you visit Roma Eat. First you are starting off with the salmone marinato al pepe rosa, which is marinated salmon with olive oil, garlic and parsley. A nice light start to your lunch or dinner. Then you have to try their chicche di patate gamberi e zucchini, which is their homemade pasta with shrimp, zucchini, parsley, and onion. Even though you are eating pasta you don't feel uncomfortably full after eating this dish. Then you are finishing your experience at Roma Eat with their home made tiramisu, which is hands down the best in Miami. No joke. This stuff is really good. Not only is it perfectly moist, but it has the perfect combination of coffee and cream. You must try this or you are truly missing out. According to Roma people are everything. When does a restaurant become more than just a place to just get something to eat? When does eating out become a great experience? At Roma Eat, they strive to be your favorite authentic Italian restaurant, and let me tell you they definitely excel.

Great service and another authentic Italian restaurant in the Gables. Just steps away from my favorite. . 345 Caffe Italiano. The fettucine alfredo was delicious. My added veggies left me wanting more. A definite must dine for everyone.

Fantastic food, great service, friendly owner. The lunch special (appetizer size salad, pasta, tiramisu) was a steal at $12.99. I will definitely come back.

My wife and I ordered a Caesar salad to share and Chicken Parmesan. The Caesar Salad had to be one of the best Caesar Salads we ever had. The dressing was made from almonds and was delicious. It didn't have that overpowering mayonnaise flavor the dressing usually has. The croutons were fresh out of the oven and delicious. The Chicken Parmesan was also great. The serving size was just right and it was served with a small portion if pasta with tomato sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly! So delicious and the texture was amazing. The Chicken Parmesan was also really good. Only draw back (but not enough to take it down a star rating) was the cheese on the chicken had a very powerful smokey flavor. I didn't mind it but my wife didn't like it. She picked it off and are the chicken and sauce and really enjoyed it. Chicken and sauce was cooked great. Our waitress was also great! Friendly and helpful! It's under new management and the chefs just came here from Italy. They are still trying out new things with the menu but I love that it's authentic. Truly authentic Italian cuisine. Definitely give it a try!

Decided to try something new tonight. Big mistake. We sat at the bar and ordered eggplant Parm appetizer and margarita pizza. They gave us bread and olive oil and cheap red wine vinegar. Normally in Italian restaurants you get balsamic. Once our food came out the owner took the oil and vinegar away. The pizza was oval like flat bread and the eggplant had skin on it and was oily (its not the fried type). The food was just OK, but not to go back for. There is a picture on Yelp and the pizza looked really good. Ours looked nothing like this and there was no basil. It was just a cheese pizza. The eggplant came with a small tomato/lettuce/onion salad on the side but no dressing. I asked for olive oil and vinegar. Again, the owner took it right away, I thought I was being punked. I also asked for cheese and the owner didn't want to leave it on the bar. The place is small and there were only about 5 other tables with people. I don't plan on going back. I will stick with my "other" favorite Italian place even tho they don't have pizza.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
